- There is supposed to be a big black dog on the Demailstown road in the parish of Kilbarry between O Moyle's Cross and the Pinkeen Hollow. It is to be seen at mid-night. It has eyes like coals of fire. It is said to cross the ditch in a big ball of fire when it comes to the Pinkeen Hollow.
- There is a stone standing in a field in Clongill. It is about five feet high and about three feet wide.
It is situated on the top of a mound, and the slope of a very old castle is cut out on it. It is supposed to be the plan on which the Clongill castle was built.- Collector
