    I think upon the day,

    * Note:- The Loughanlea Mountain is in East Cavan and is just bordering this Parish of Moybologue.
    (b) Muff is right beside the Loughanlea Mountain and a yearly fair is held in it on the 12th August

  2. One day two men named Gargan and Mac Cabe both of Tierworker, Bailieboro', went to shoot on the Lough-in-lea mountains. As Mac Cabe was crossing a fence he saw a hare and shot it. As he was lifting the hare he fell dead beside it.
    Gargan got afraid and ran home. In an hour after he went back but Mac Cabe's body could not be seen
    A month after as Gargan was going to his home he saw a man coming towards him riding a horse and the latter shouting stop the horse Gargan and Ill be with you again.
    Gargan thought he was a madman
