  1. This account was given to me by Philip Gartland of Robertstown. In this district there is a belief that there is treasure hidden in the lake of Cruicetown or in the rath above it and it is guarded by two bulls and a wild turkey or a big pheasant. On one occasions many years ago a party of men went to dig in the night time in the hope of getting the hidden treasure. About twelve o'clock in the night they heard a terrible noise and two bulls
