  1. It was a cold winters nights towards the end of November. The snow was falling on the hill and dale. Pat Casey was staggering along from the fair of Mullagh unmindfull of the storm. He was carrying a parcel under his arm. Suddenly he was started by a queer noise in the hedge he murmured to him-self what could it be. It was a strange vision that swiftry vanished across the snowclad hills never to be heard of again.
