  1. It is said to be unlucky to change from one house to another on a saturday as "Saturdays flitting is a short sitting". March borrows three days from april to skin the old cow. It is said that
    March will search
    April will try, and May will
    tell you whether you'll live or die.
    The old people say that March will either come in like a lion and out like a lamb or in like a lamb and out like a lion. The date for starting to plant potatoes is from 1st April to the 17th May. No one makes a grave on a Tuesday as it is said to be unlucky, they take off the sod the day before. Tuesday is said to be an unlucky day for putting in a crop.
