- Long ago there lived a man who was famous for weaving. His name was John Carolan from Tullyatton, Mullagh, Kells, Co. Meath, and he was my great grand-father. He used to weave linen, and frieze from flax with a loom. He was a great weaver, and a lot of people came to him. He would sell the cloth in the town as well.
