  1. There is a townland over Maio Mullagh Kells Co. Meath. There was a very wicked man living in that district
    The landlord's name was Pollock. He had a tenant who would not pay him any rent or rates. One day as he was walking along he was so vexed looking at the man's good land and be paying him no rent or rates that he said "When I am coming home I will burn that house and put him out of it." It was night-time when he was coming of his "Ceilidhe" and all the people gone to bed when he put the man's house on fire with lamp pine which the people used longh ago for burning castles. He burned the man and wife and five young children on their beds
