    Lives in Winter dies in Summer and grows with its root upwards.
    Answer = Icicle
    When I was young they did me cut, and in a hole they did me put, and in six months they came to look for me quite bold. When I was cut and in my skin They had another hole to put me in.
    Answer = Potatoes.
    What has an eye and cant see
    Answer = A needle
    Long legs, short thighs, little head, and no eyes
    Answer = A tongs.
    Patches upon patches without any stitches.
    Answer = Cabbage.
    I sat down to look for it, and when I could'nt get it, I went home
