  1. One day, the robin was going through the wood, and she saw two children lying dead under a tree, and they were bleeding. The robin gathered up a heap of leaves, and she covered the children with them, and she rubbed her breast on the children, and her breast was covered with blood. They say, that is how the robin got her red breast.
