  1. We have many old names on our fields. One is Brown's Garden. It got its name because it belonged to a man of the name of Brown. There is an Irish half-acre in it, which was an orchard about eighty-six years ago.
The name of another field is Mary's Garden. It got its name because it belonged to a woman of the name of Mary Tormey.
The name of another field is the Gleann Mór. The meaning it is, the big valley. It got that name, because under it lies a big valley. Some of the old people gave it the Irish name.
