Whooping Cough.

If two persons of the same name are married they have a cure. The remains of the breakfast usually a piece of bread and butter- from which both husband and wife take a bite is given to the child for three mornings in succession. The remains of milk left over by a ferret. Bishops skull at Maghera. Child to drink later three times from same. Legend A Bishop who lived at Maghera said that after his death his skull was to be used to give drinks to children affected by whooping cough. Child who drank from it should never die from the cough. Skull is non in custody of a man called Lynch at Maghera who lends it to anyone who needs the cure.
