  1. When the Croppies were leaving Tara they were coming for Nobber when Jackson and Corbally, two Yeomen captains went to meet Fr. Murphy was leading the Croppies. He used to catch the bullets in his hand. He said he would never be shot by a non-Catholic.
    The two armies met at Mountainstown, and Corbally shot Fr. Murphy. He was buried along the road. The Croppies came to Petersville, and William Smyth of Kilmainham Wood
