- The people that wanted to get teeth pulled used to go to the forge to get them pulled. The blacksmith used to get a piece of strong cord and tie it on to the persons tooth.Then he used to tie the cord to the anvil. He got a piece of iron that he reddened in the fire. The blacksmith then put the iron over to the mans mouth. The man pulled away and the tooth was pulled. The man gave the blacksmith some money and he went home.
