  1. The name of the leipreachan in my district is a geanncanach. He is a little small man and he is dressed very queer and has boots with their toes turned up and a little green cap. He lives in a little hill or under a mushroora. He is always mending boots. -
    Once upon a time a man caught the genncanach hoping that he would get some gold. The geanncanach gave him a crock of gold and told him not to look back until he would be athome so the man started of and when he was gone a bit the geanncanach called him but when he turned back he could see nobody and when he went home he had nothing
