    The cure for a sorethroat is to get roast salt and put it in a stocking and tie it around your neck and you will get better.

    Some people cure the Heart Ache with three eggs, the say some prayers over the eggs, and if the eggs sweat, they will tell you the person has the Heart Ache, then you would bring the eggs back to the person then that person would have to eat the eggs and burn the egg-shells. You must bring the eggs three times.
    Sty on your eye
    Pull ten goosberry thorns rub on thorn to your eye every morning for nine morning and throw the tenth away.
    Chin Cough
    Your God Father buys a red ribbon and ties it around your neck. Then you will be cured.
    Whooping Cough
    Get the Bishops skull at Drogheda and drink
