    end of the street a boy came unexpectedly round the corner of a house.
    On another occasion, in the small hours of the morning a girl stuck her head up through a sky-light.

  2. Another story is told of man who interfered with a fort, and every attempt he made to get into bed that night or to lie down he was put standing of the floor. At length he gave over the attempt and thought he was tired out he had to spend the night standing in his room.
    He learned a lesson and kept a distance from the "good people" (as the fairies were called) ever after.
