The masters used to lodge in the house nearest to the school. The poor people gave them food for the instruction and the rich gave them money. They used to go around here and there.
They used to teach Irish, Latin, sums, writing and reading. The name of the reading book was "Reading- made-Easy" The children used to write on a slate and when they could write well they got quills and paper.
