  1. A man lived near Kingscourt named Luke the Colonel. I dont know why they called him that name.
    Instead of going to mass on a Sunday Luke went out into a dyke, and took an armful of ivy leaves with him.
    Then he knelt down in the mud and started saying rosaries. For every rosary he said he put an ivy leaf leaf in between the crown of his hat and the ribbon. That is all there is to this story.
