  1. Travelling folk will visit our district. They have been doing so for many years. They are not very poor as they sell some small articles, and they make a bit on them.
    They come before fairs, before Christmas and Easter. Some people welcome them, but others do not. They bring round a basket of things such as:- cups, saucers, roasary beads, statues, prayer-books, novels, lace, medals and many other things.
