  1. While the Banshee bewails the death of an 'O' or 'Mac' she sits on a stone near the wake house combing her long tresses. Once a certain man found her comb and not knowing whose it was, took it home. All that night the little woman was seen roaming round the house and her cries were heard from miles around. The man was very much frightened and suddenly he remembered the comb. Immediately he left it where he got it and the Banshee gave over weeping.
