The late Mr. James Martin who died about three years ago (April 1935) at an advanced age, told one of the nuns in Kells Convent that he knew a man (1913) living in Kells who in his youth was told by an aged man that he once served Mass in the open air in Mullaghcreppy, one of the town parks lying in the direction of Loyd.
