  1. There is a field at the back of Mr Pettigrue's house and in it there is a fairy fort. It is called the round "O." There is a little hill surrounded by trees. It is said that fairies used to dance round the hill in a ring, and left that shape.
    Another story is told about a field named the Paddock. The field is beside Ned Ball's house. A man named Boland a servant boy to a man named McDonald was minding sheep and lambs in the field one night to keep away a fox. He used to have a lantern lit.
    On one occasion about twelve at midnight out of the ground came a horse and on the horse was a little man all dressed in red with a tall hat.
    Thousands and thousands followed and the first fellow stood before Boland
