  1. A long time ago there lived an old man who used to go around gathering bottles. Nobody ever called him anything only Mickey-the-Bottle-man. No one ever refused a little help or a nights lodging if they could afford it at all. There was at that time in Kilbeg a priest named Fr Clavin and he was known to have sheltered Mickey on many occasions, so that everywhere Mickey went he was always praising the generous priest.
    All the children loved Mickey for he spent many a long evening sitting at the crossroads with a dozen or more children gathered round him listening to his stories of fairies ghosts ect.
    One day when Mickey was telling a story a little boy knocked a loose stone off the wall down Mickey's bag of bottles. Of course they were all broken (any poor Mickey's) and what was
