  1. A robin built her nest in a well of a shed at Beggar's Boyerstown. Another bird had her nest built in that place. The robin came along and tore out the nest and built her own nest.
    A woman from Knocknumber has a duck with three legs. She had another duck of the same clutch with two heads. A woman from Ongenstown had a hen that would lay twice a day. The eggs were like ordinary eggs. My Aunty had a chicken with her head backways. We had a chicken with one toe on each foot.
    A man from Ongenstown reared a calf on a goat. He trained the calf to drink from the goat. When he wanted to feed the calf he would put the two into a shed.
    A man from Ongenstown drew a red hot poker across his tongue without burning himself. My father saw him doing this. Jack Sherry from Robinstown put a red hot poker round his neck without burning himself. He done this one night when he was playing cards. A man near Ongenstown had a calf with a horn on the middle of his head.
