  1. About half a mile from Bective Station down a narrow lane is to be seen the ruins of an old house which formerly was the homestead of the great Bishop Logan. All the land around his house in the townland of Grange belonged to the Logan family. It is told that when the old house was being pulled down, a chalice was found hidden in the mud walls, and Mr. Mat Healy* says that there was or is a stone in the yard beside the old house, with writing on it, that was done by the Bishop years ago.
N.B.* Mat Healy is 85 - the warder of Cannistown graveyard. He lives on the Bective Road.
There is a bishop buried in Cannistown - not clear if it be Bishop Logan.
