  1. Some twenty or twenty-five years ago a man named Patrick Carey of Dormstown ___ wrote some very good poetry. He was commonly known as "The Poet Carey. At present we have in Jamestown ___ a great composer of recitation named Peter Martin.
    In Tullaghanstown we have a man who promises to be a great composer of songs named John Fitzimons. He wrote many good piece for a local paper last year. One was about local football teams and another was called "The Old Grey Mare". Another poem was about a man who drew home his turf in a motor-car.
    He wrote a very good song about the Cavan football team winning the All-Ireland Championship.
