  1. There is only one holy well in the parish of Navan. It is called St Brigids. It is in the townland of Ardsallagh about three miles from Navan.
    At St. Ultan's well in Andbraccan there is a Feis held every year and there is a pilgrimage to it. There is another well called St. Johns well at Warrenstown about twelve miles from Navan. People go to visit it every year on June 23rd. They say the Rosary there at twelve o'clock at night and bring home bottles of the water. The people rub the water to affected parts and they drink it. Some people say it is necessary to be there at twelve o'Clock to gain the indulgence. Numbers of people go to be cured at the well. Some people leave flowers on money in honour of the saint.
    There is a holy well about four miles from Kells at Cannaross. It is called St. Kieran's well. People say you can never boil the water from this well and these have black trout in it. It is also told that a woman brough home the fish in her can and tried to cook it but it would not cook so she had to leave it back. People go to this well between sunset and sunrise to get cured and they say the rosary and bathe
