  1. On the outskirts of Navan is situated a large three storyed house owned by a man named Watson. It is supposed that one winter night he went upstairs, and, as he was about to come down, he slipped on the stairs and tumbled down headlong. He was killed. From that on he is heard to fall at the hour of twelve every night. There are two of his sisters living in this house at present and in order not to hear the noise of the ghost they play the organ very loudly from eleven forty till twelve thirty, and then carry on with their usual household duties.
