When my uncle was a little boy he kept a pet jackdaw. The jackdaw was allowed to go into the kitchen because he was not in the habit of doing damage[?] One day my uncle was watching him, he kept flying in through the window with pieces of twig and moss. A few days later my uncle was looking for something on top of the dresser and what did he find but the jackdaw's nest! so he knew then the meaning of the jackdaw's fuss and flying with the twigs and moss.
