  1. Some years ago there were people by the name of McCormack living at a place called Churchtown near Navan. These people had some relations in America. They who lived in Churchtown owned a cock who never crew after going in at night. One night after being put in he began to crow and he continued to do this for ten nights. On the tenth day they got a letter from America telling them that one of their brothers was dead. Then the cock never crew till the same time the next year.
