  1. During the early days of the reign of Queen Anne a little Chapel was erected at Leisgbrook Navan. This Chapel was open for seven years and was closed during the Penal Laws. When Leisgbrook Chapel was closed Mass was said on the lonely rocks, which line the Boyne, below Blackcastle.
    In the year 1772 the mudwall Chapel fell in on Christmas Night. The next Chapel to be erected was where our present Church now stands.
