  1. The horses are kept in during the night in the Winter but are left out in the Summer.
    The shed is called the horsestable the fodder consists of hay and oats. The foddering is not carried on in the Summer. They are clipped by a machine.
    One man holds the horse and another twists the handle while another man clips the horse
    When they are being trained for a race their feeding is wetted with codliver oil. The calls for the various animals are Hurrish, Hurrish, for pigs, come come on, for horses Kiddy Kiddy for goats.
