- Travelling people are not as plentiful now as they were in days gone by. The same people have been coming to our house for a great number of years. They are not very poor. They sell small articles such as laces, tiepins, combs, pins, needles and cans. People buy from them because they think its an act of charity. These travellers are generally welcome. They obtain some of their supports from the people. They sleep in camps and some of them in caravans.(continues on next page)
