  1. John McLoughlin of Rathmore saw a fiery bull in Rathmore graveyard about ninety years ago. His father had told him that there were three crocks of gold in the ground and that there was a bull guarding it. He also told him that someone's life would have to be lost on getting the gold even if it was only a dog's life.
    The next night John went to the graveyard and brought a dog with him. He started to dig and when he was ten minutes digging the fiery bull appeared. The man got away as quickly as he could and the bull did not kill the dog. There
