  1. There used to be a fair held in Woodtown out in the country. It has not been held for 85 years, it is held in Kildalkey instead. It (was) was held in a field at Woodtown and the name of the field was "Tulach an Aonac" When the dealer would be after buying the cattle he would put a bit of mud on their back as a mark.
    Luck money would be given according to the size of the cattle. The cattle would be led to the fair with a halter and the halter would be given with animal.
    There was a special fair held at Crowenstown every month, It was held at Crowenstown crossroads two
