    five hundred years. The teachers are unknown to everybody except to pupils that went there. There was no fee attached to it. The teachers got no pay. There is nothing left of it but a few walls.

  2. There was a hedge school in Trim in the year 1812. It was held in Christy Reilly's field. There was one teacher in the school for Irish and English. There were a lot of people going to the school. The teacher got his pay from the children's fathers and mothers. There was Irish and English and Aritmetic taught in the school.
