    Once upon a time there were two basket makers named Dick and Biddy White, They were man and wife. They had an ass and cart carrying them around, selling their baskets. To their great surprise one morning they discovered their donkey drowned, and to raise funds to buy another ass the thought of a plan.
    One was to let on that the other was dead. So they went different roads to beg money. Dick was looking for money to bury Biddy, and Biddy was looking for money to bury Dick. The two set out on a Monday, and they were to meet on Saturday.
    All went will until Friday afternoon, when Biddy came into a farmer's yard. She was crying bitterly. The farmer came out saying "What is wrong with you Biddy." "Poor Dick is dead." "I am very sorry to hear that" said the farmer "and when did he die." "Yesterday" said Biddy "and I want a little help." The farmer then said, "come inside and we will see what we can do for you." Biddy went inside and
