    school there.
    There was an old school in Balrath long ago. It is situated three miles from Athboy and it is in the parish of Athboy.
    One of the teachers names was Mrs Cooney and the other teachers name was Miss Crookes.
    It was a thatched school. There was no Irish taught in it but every other subject was taught in it.
