  1. There was an old man; his name was Connor Sheridan; he lived near Drumcree. He used to work by magic. People came from all parts of Ireland to him for cures and advice.
    If a man came and stood beside him without ever speaking a word, he could know whether any one or beast was sick at - home in that man's house or what was wrong with them or what they were complaining of.
    A man named Paddy Piggott went down from Coolronan to ask Connor Sheridan how to cure a cow that would not get up. Before speaking Connor said "You have a cow at-home that can't get up". Then he told him to
