  1. Once upon a time there were a lot of poor farmers that lived along Rotheram's land.
    He had fifteen acres of land. The farmers used to have their cows out on his land from May til Autumn.
    There was a strange North woman who came to live beside them in an old hut. After a short time the cows went back in the milk. The people got very annoyed about it. They agreed for to watch every morning, for fear anyone would go near the cows.
    This morning at day break the two men that were watching saw a ig hare come and suck her. They never frightened the hare , only went and told the neighbours. The same two went the next morning with two grey hounds to catch her and she came again a suckled of the cow. And when she had the last cow sucked they let the two grey hounds loose after the hare and a terrible hunt followed towards the hut.
    They two me were in their bare feet and followed up tite. The hare ran in a hole in the door into
