  1. A Song

Our parish is in sadness our people are in grief

    Our Parish is in sadness
    Our people are in grief
For the loss of our poor parish Priest
    Who died in Mary's feast
For all through life he loved her
And all through life he prayed
That when the end would come
    She would be his aid
And when the darkness cleared away
    Upon that glorious feast
    Mary asked the Sacred Heart
    His agony for to cease
Then she closed his glorious eyes
    Upon this world of sin
And now he's with the angels
    And not with sinful men
Lines written on the death of our Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Casey died 15th August 1932.
