    The Mermaid in Croboy Lough.
There is a mermaid in Croboy in the form of a big pike. She used to be in the form of a lady and one day a man, Mick Sellars, caught her as she was walking along the side of the lake and he carried her home with him. He asked her would she marry him and she said she would on conditions that she would never see the lake again.
They were married for about seven years when one day the lady was to out walking and she caught sight of the lake.
