    This was a mail coach road long ago. The mail coach from Cavan used to come as far as Green's Hill, to Lanagan's crossroads and on to Geraghty's to link up the Galway - Dublin coach.
    This is testified by Kit Flanagan (80 years) Clondalee, Hill of Down, Co. Meath who saw the coaches on it.
