    The sky is cloudy when it is going to rain. Usually there is a halo around the moon. If it is far away from the moon it is a sign that rain is nearer than if it is near the moon. The first sign of frost that anybody notices is the air becomes very chilly. The sky becomes bright and covered with stars. Immediately before it commences snow
