    Long ago when fairies were quite common in Ireland there lived a man who was nick named "Jack the Naggin man"...

    Jack the Noggin man said "God bless us" which revived the bride and saved her from being stolen by the fairies. The old custom of saying "God bless us" when we hear anyone sneeze is supposed to have been handed down since "Jack the Noggin mans" remark at the wedding feast.

    There was once a Squire named Squire Allen who lived in a house in Clondalee More now known as the Malt House. There also lived at that time a hag named Biddy Clonawn. Her house was situated on a boreen which is now called Cunningham's Boreen. It was said that if anyone gave away milk
