    some thing wrong. He wanted to make his escape but they held him fast until the police came. When the news spread there came such a crowd that the police did not get time to bring him to custody. The people dragged him to the Clegarrow road and nearly beat him to death, and hanged him up on a tree and finished him in spite of the police as the law was not as strict then as it is now. That put a finish to the card-playing in that house but it is there still and also the murdering Hollow. Both belong to Rhainstown farm now.
