- (continued from previous page)very sweet. Bread is often made in oven pots. The raw bread is put in a round pot. The pot is placed on the hearth and red cinders or pieces of turf are put under and on top of the pot. The bread swells until it is the full size of the pot.
- My mother makes potato-cakes. First she pealed potatoes. Then she puts flour in a dish. When this is done she minces the potatoes with a potato mincer. Then she mixes the flour with the potatoes. She also shakes some bread soda over the mixture. She then wets the mixture with hot water.(continues on next page)
