    St. Patrick's Day falls on the 17th of March each year. There are many customs connected with that day. The people in this district say that the best shamrock to be found is on Tara Hill. There is a red dot on each leaf of the shamrock. The first shamrock that ever grew in Ireland grew on Tara Hill. the people say that shamrock grows in no other country but Ireland. the people say that it is lucky to find a four leaved shamrock.
