  1. There lived an old man near Trim whose name was Barney Reilly. All his life he made baskets. He cut the willow rods on the banks of the Boyne. Then he put the rods up the chimney. When he took them down they were seasoned. He then put the small rods in one heap and the strong ones in another. He made strong baskets for putting potatoes in and light baskets for eggs. he made the baskets by weaving the rods and plaiting them. On a market day in Trim the man brought the baskets to town and sold them.
