  1. There was once a man called Mr Sheridan. He had a crop of wheat in a field beside the Boyne. The crows were eating it very much. He thought of a plan to hunt them. He tarred the trees near the wheat. The next morning he went out and hunted the crows. They all lit on the trees and stuck to them. He fired a shot at them. They fluttered so much that they pulled up a tree. They carried it down along the Boyne and it is there yet.
